With scores now final, Centreville, Virginia, native Brian Zins has won the 2008 NRA National Pistol Championship. Zins easily beat SSG James Henderson from Columbus, Georgia, 2643-131X to 2634-117X.
Zins won the Harrison Trophy Plaque, a gold tone National Championship Medallion, a firearm and a $500 Visa Gift Card.
Henderson doesn’t go home empty-handed either. He won a Silver tone National Championship Medallion, a firearm and a $300 Visa Gift Card.
Third place went to Captain Philip Hemphill of the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
