Sitting in the airport

I’m sitting in the Detroit Airport, waiting for my flight back to Dulles. With a three hour wait before my next flight, I found these photos that I believe weren’t posted before today.

Consider these the “lost” High Power photos. Plus, some of these photos are embarrassing, and I’m only posting them now because I’m 95 miles away from Camp Perry.

I’m not sure who this man is. I think this was taken by Stephen on the first day of the NRA High Power Individual Championships. If I recall correctly, Steve-O thought this was David Tubb.

I think that’s PFC Sherri J. Hurd of Fort Benning, Georgia.

HQ Moody
That’s the great H.Q. Moody, Manager of the Rifle Department. He’s a very smart man and if I remember correctly, he’s easy to scare. I was standing outside of the Stat office with my camera ready. I banged on the window and got this reaction.

That’s one of the stat girls taking a bite out of a gift that she received from a shooter who traveled from Australia to Camp Perry. I think she was biting it because she wanted to make sure it was an authentic Australian gift.

Ok, here’s another thing: I’ve met Australians at Perry and the Bianchi Cup. They always have those little koala bears on hand. Is it mandatory for all Australian residents to have those little gifts before they can leave the country? I have something like ten of them back at my house.

About the Koala bears, I'm beginning to wonder if the are mandatory!! I was in Canada last year with the Junior Long Range team and those bears were being handed out by the dozens!
