Brian Zins wins National Pistol Championship

First off folks, I’m posting this back from Virginia, and if any of you know that I’m wrong, let me know quickly. I’m getting this information from the National Championship Results page and according to that page, the results are not final. We will have the photos posted of the Awards Ceremony on Monday.

If I am wrong about the results I will update you all and I apologize. With the information that I do have it is safe to say that Zins is by far the best pistol shooter of the last 10 years. His final score of 2643-131X to clinch the 2008 victory gives him eight National Championships since 1998.

2006 National Pistol Champion James Henderson placed second with a score of 2634-117X. Philip Hemphill finished third with 2631-121X.

If I have time on Sunday, I’ll try to get a hold of Zins to post some quotes about his dominance in pistol. Steve also has a good feature about Joan Gladwell which I’ll post tomorrow also.

Have a good night all!
