Tonight's first shot ceremony took place to officially commence the national matches here at Camp Perry. Noted in attendance were Ted Strickland, Governor of Ohio; Marcy Kaptur, Congresswoman; and John C. Sigler, NRA President. The ceremony lasted for about an hour as all three of the aforementioned guests gave motivating speeches about the tradition of Camp Perry and what it means not only to the state of Ohio, but the nation as well. Throughout the next few posts are a few pictures that I took from the event.
Members of the Ohio National Guard parachuted into the range where the ceremony took place.
The crowd watches as the parachutes descend to deliver the American Flag.
Members of the JR OTC walk with the American Flag as the honorary guests stand in the background.
