Dinner with the Grizzlies

The California Grizzlies, a junior high power rifle team, invited me to their chili dinner last night. Throughout the high power championships, volunteers and competitors have told me that I had to talk to the California Grizzlies because they’re a great team competitively and personally. I had a great time last night, met nice people, and had really good food.

There were many more people than just the Grizzlies at the dinner. They also invited friends that they have met at Camp Perry this year or in the past who are working or volunteering during the matches. Wayne Fenner, a volunteer from the pit on Rodriguez Range, celebrated his birthday with the Grizzlies.

I had a great time with the Grizzlies, and I understand why so many people are talking about them. They are great competitors on and off of the range.
