Olympic moments

We've mostly been focusing on the scores here on this blog, but there have been a lot of remarkable stories coming from the shooting sports at these games:

• Abhinav Bindra won India's first-ever individual gold medal.
  
  
• The race for the gold was always close -- the closest events were on the skeet field, where both the men and the women had shoot-offs for medals.
  
  
• In the first days of the Russia-Georgia conflict, the Russian and Georgian medalists in women's air rifle embraced on the podium.
  
  
• China's Du Li was scorned for her performance in air rifle, the the first medal awarded in the games, but came back days later to win gold in rifle.
  
  
• The shooting sports events weren't immune to doping tests. North Korea's Jong Su Kim tested positive for propanol, and was stripped of his medals. (The 10m bronze went to Jason Turner on the American team; from the 50m event, China's Zongliang Tan now has the silver medal, and Vladimir Isakov of Russia has the bronze.)
