Pitting oneself in the line of fire

I was able to get a few shots from the pit before they asked me to leave. Everyone has a few shares in the pit during the M1A match. The weather is just wonderful out there. It’s a little hot, but that’s 10 times better than it was last year, when rain dominated this special match.

There are smiles everywhere on the firing line, and not because they’re all shooting well. That’s not the case at all, because I saw some of their targets -- though I don’t think I could do any better.
