Last Thursday was a team day during the 2008 National Fullbore Rifle Prone Championships. The two matches fired were the McGee Competition Rifle Stocks and the Sierrra Bullets Team Match.
In the Sierra Bullets Team Match, Australia Green finished the day with a five-point win over Bald Eagles Gudgel. Ron Whalen shot a 299-19X; Mark Thurtell shot 299-17X; Mark Buchanan shot 300-17X; and Angus Bell shot 300-17X for Australia Green. The team finished with 1198-70X.
The team of Bald Eagles Gudgel is made up of Ron Sekellick, 296-13X; Boyd Goldsby, 300-20X; Gerald Tierney, 299-15X; and Mike Dunia, 298-15X. The team finished with 1193-63X.
The third-place team was ENG XX Lions, who finished with a score of 1192-61X. John Pugsley finished with 293-10X; James Watson finished with 300-16X; Emma Joan Nuttall shot 299-19X; and David Dyson shot 300-16X.
