Award Overload

This year's National Police Shooting Championships is experiencing an award overload of dynamic proportions. The Award Office is literally bursting with 4,000 awards to be handed out to 2008 NPSC competitors. Program Coordinators Tiffany King and John Jackson, who is pictured above, are hard at work numbering, sorting, and organizing boxes of awards.

"Two more shipments will arrive, as well," King said.

King and Jackson were joined yesterday by volunteer Evin Galbraith of DPMS, who is teaching an armorer school today. Jackson credits Galbraith with helping to design the storage system of the awards.

Many awards will be handed out at Wednesday night's award banquet. LEAD Director Hoyer estimates more than $250,000 will be given in prizes and trophies.
