This morning's opening ceremony was attended by hundreds of 2008 NPSC competitors. A local policewoman sang the national anthem and the Albuquerque Police Department's Chaplain led the audience in prayer.
NRA President John Sigler told the crowd: "I wish you all could win. I wish I could win." He wished them luck and encouraged them to remember training's important role in their jobs.
